Marco’s Pizza will open its first location in Fulshear on September 15, serving only fresh, high-quality ingredients at 6520 FM 359 S. (the intersection of FM 359 and Rogers Rd.).
Bringing Marco’s pizza-making prowess to Fulshear is the new owner and local resident Phil Lillquist. Lillquist was adopted from South Korea, and raised in rural Pennsylvania. Upon graduation from Penn State University, he took a job working in finance with Shell Oil in Houston and completed his MBA at Rice University. However, as someone who dreamed of owning and operating his own business, he left the oil industry to pursue his very own Marco’s location.
“We are excited to engage, support, and immerse ourselves within the community while creating interpersonal connections with every customer that walks through the door,” said Lillquist. “Marco’s has a strong culture of putting people and hospitality first, and we cannot wait to partner that with our delicious offerings.”
The Marco’s mouth-watering menu features a mix of classic and original specialty pizzas loaded with fresh toppings, including the White Cheezy, Deluxe, All Meat or Build-Your-Own Pizza, plus a variety of its signature Pizza Bowls. Marco’s was the first national pizza delivery brand to offer Pizza Bowls – a crustless pizza baked in a bowl to meet consumers’ ever-changing dietary preferences.
