Katy ISD Seeks Community Feedback on Strategic Plan

By George Slaughter

The Katy Independent School District is requesting feedback on its five-year strategic plan to further define the goals that the district will pursue over the next two years.

The district this week sent emails to parents, students, staff and community members, inviting them to take a survey intended to provide direction for enhancing programs to sustain student achievement.

“The success of our strategic plan relies heavily on community involvement, particularly that of parents and staff as we plan for the future of our district,” Superintendent Dr. Ken Gregorski said. “We exist to serve our students and their families, which is why their feedback is a critical part of the process.”

The district launched its first-ever strategic plan in 2017. The plan included goals for personalized learning, digital infrastructure, recruitment and retention, and student well-being.

The plan undergoes annual review progress and identify the next steps. The current strategic plan ends in 2022.

All parents, students, employees, and community members are encouraged to participate before the survey closes on September 30.
