The Center for Pursuit and Young Professionals in Energy present 9th annual “Clay Shoot for a Cause” on Sept. 24 at Greater Houston Sports Club

The Center for Pursuit (The Center) and Young Professionals in Energy (YPE) present the ninth annual “Clay Shoot for a Cause” sporting clays tournament to benefit The Center’s programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them develop the skills and tools necessary to grow as individuals and participate fully in their community. Young Professionals in Energy is a non-profit organization with more than 10,000 members in its Houston Chapter that encourages community engagement. By providing a forum for networking and career development through social, educational and civic service opportunities, YPE aims to facilitate the advancement of young professionals in the global energy industry.

The sporting clays tournament was last held in 2019, due to Covid-19 causing the 2020 tournament to be canceled. “Clay Shoot for a Cause” is always a highly anticipated event, bringing together supporters of The Center of different ages and backgrounds for a fun sports outing. This year’s fundraiser includes a silent auction, door prize giveaways and event-branded T-shirts for participants.
