Learn About Plant Selection At Library’S Online Gardening Program

Fort Bend County Libraries will present an online program, “Landscape Success: Right Plants for the Right Place,” on Tuesday, May 25, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Part 2 of the Texas AgriLife Extension Office’s “Landscape Success” series for homeowners, this program will be live-streamed via Webex; it will NOT be in person.

Fort Bend County Advanced Master Gardeners Peggy d’Hemecourt and Suma Mudan will talk about the use of native and well-adapted plants in the landscape. Get tips on landscape planning and how to make the best use of sun, shade, and drainage for varying plant needs. Mudan and d’Hemecourt will also talk about the Earth-Kind® Plant Selector, Texas Superstar® plants, and Earth-Kind® roses.

The Landscape Success series will continue on June 22 with “Using Irrigation Wisely.”

The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required for the program so that a link to the Webex session can be emailed to all who register.
