Honor the Sacrifice of the Alamo Defenders at “Dawn at the Alamo” on March 6

Join the Alamo this Saturday as we honor the Defenders who gave their lives for Texas liberty at “Dawn at the Alamo.” An annual tradition, this commemorative ceremony will feature a presentation describing the events leading up to the morning hour of the Battle. A reverent and somber program, “Dawn at the Alamo” will include vignettes, music, a wreath-laying, readings, and a musket volley.

“Dawn at the Alamo” will take place in Alamo Plaza, where masks are required and social distancing is strongly encouraged. All events on the Alamo grounds will follow state and local COVID-19 guidelines.

In addition to this in-person event, the Alamo will share videos honoring the anniversary of the 1836 Battle on YouTube and the Official Alamo Facebook page for those who cannot attend.
