BACKGROUND: 

Veterans 55 years and older can get a COVID-19 vaccine this Saturday, February 20. The Houston VA is hosting a Walk-in COVID Vaccine Clinic at the main hospital, located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd in Houston.

Veterans who receive care at the Houston VA or any VA community based outpatient clinics who are 55 years or older are eligible.

Located at the hospital’s main entrance, the walk-in clinic opens at 8 a.m. It will remain open until vaccination limits are reached. No appointment is necessary. Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Veterans may park in any visitor or Veteran parking lot. Those wishing to be vaccinated must bring identification, wear a mask to enter the facility, maintain social distancing, and not be ill. This includes any COVID-19 symptoms such as coughing or a fever.

Veterans will receive an appointment for their second vaccine dose when they check-in for the first dose tomorrow.
