Effective Monday, February 15, 2021, all Fort Bend County Tax Office locations will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This change affects the Richmond, Missouri City, Sugar Land, and Katy offices, which previously had extended hours on Mondays. The Sienna and Needville annexes currently operate during the aforementioned hours.
“After an analysis of customer traffic during our extended hours on Mondays, we found it would be more cost effective for all Tax Offices to operate during normal business hours,” said Carmen Turner, Fort Bend County Tax Assessor-Collector. “This move will also provide additional safety to our staff, who often open and/or close our offices in the dark.”
Additionally, we want to remind the public that Governor Abbott’s waiver for vehicle title and registration requirements expires on April 14, 2021. County residents with expired registrations should avoid the rush and renew their stickers as soon as possible.
