Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston (BGCGH) presents “The Vaccine – Ask the Experts” in two virtual town halls featuring physicians from Texas Children’s Hospital, who are also affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine. The free, back-to-back events will provide vital information on the COVID-19 vaccine in a question-and-answer format, to be live streamed on Facebook on Feb. 10 for Spanish speaking adults and on Feb. 11 for English speakers, both from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

For each town hall, the format will be the same. After the panel members are introduced, they will discuss the impacts of the novel coronavirus on high need communities, youth and people of color. This will be followed by a moderated Q & A, where audience members can submit questions via the Facebook live chat feature monitored by BGCGH staff and submitted to the moderator. The session will close with an informational video from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston.

“Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston greatly appreciates our partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital as we work to educate our Club families and the public about the latest on the pandemic and the vaccine,” says Zenae Campbell, Vice President, Program Services and Club Operations. “With confusion and misinformation out there about COVID, our goal is to present science-based data and guidance from doctors at a top medical institution in Houston. We hope these town halls will be valuable for our constituents and others in the community who want to ensure their families are safe and healthy.”
