Comptroller’s Office Modernizes eSystems Webfile Portal

To better serve Texas taxpayers like you, the Comptroller’s office is modernizing the eSystems Webfile portal, which will launch Feb. 1. We’ve created a quick promotional video about the update, and we’d like to introduce you to these great upcoming features:

  • A new user-friendly look and feel to make tax filing easier and faster, with fewer clicks to navigate.
  • Save-and-resume functionality to allow you to save an in-process sales tax return and complete it later at your convenience.
  • Enhanced features tailored to the individual user, like the option to choose how accounts are displayed and the ability to sort by name, account number or tax type.
  • Improved taxpayer notifications.
  • Better self-service features to save you time and phone calls to our help desk.
  • A “Tax Wiz” that offers tips throughout the filing process, answering commonly asked questions on each page.

When you first visit the new site, you’ll be asked to create three new security questions and add your mobile number (optional) to your profile, making password resets simple and secure.

We look forward to serving you and making the filing process quick and easy!

Note: The Webfile portal will be unavailable Jan. 30-31 in preparation for the launch. Have questions? Contact Electronic Reporting at 800-442-3453.
