Katy resident elected as New President for the Federation of Houston Professional Women Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW) is pleased to announce the election of Donna Mitchell as the organization’s next president. Mitchell who resides in Katy, TX brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and an array of experiences in the public service sector, on a local, regional and national level. She has served on the FHPW board for the past four years and assumed the role of President on January 1, 2021. 

“I appreciate the board’s confidence in me, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead such a great organization. The Federation is resilient and I know we can move forward and continue to provide the excellent programming our nonprofit partners deserve,” Mitchell said. “I’m especially excited to celebrate 40 years of distinction this year and contribute in building the sustainability and growth of FHPW. 

Mitchell embodies all that it means to be a community leader and public servant. For over 25 years, Mitchell has played a significant role in the development and successes of many non-profit, volunteer based organizations, championing women and enriching lives not only in their careers, but also in their communities and families. She serves on several boards which focus on engaging youth in STEM to award scholarships to women pursuing higher fields of education.

Mitchell continues to be a visionary and champion for women so that they can be their authentic self, achieving their professional and personal successes.
