Commissioner Ken R. DeMerchant’s “Adopt a Polling Location” Initiative

Fort Bend County Commissioner Ken R. DeMerchant organized an “Adopt a Polling Location” initiative with community sponsors HEB Sugar Land Market #627 and Chick-Fil-A at Waterview Town Center for providing meals to all the essential poll workers within Precinct 4 polling locations during the last three days of Early Voting. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation during this time where a pandemic calls for extra safety and care of Fort Bend County residents.

Fort Bend County has had record-breaking voter turnout, with over 50% of registered voters casting ballots early this Election. Precinct 4 has nine polling locations staffed by 76 poll workers, which will be open from 7 AM to 9 PM the last three days of early voting.

“The poll workers are tirelessly working to serve our residents who are exercising their right to vote, and I am appreciative of their hard work. Also, I would like to thank the community partners, HEB Sugar Land Market #627, and Cliff Parker (franchisee of Chick-Fil-A Waterview Town Center) for their generosity and assistance with providing the meals,” DeMerchant.
