Real Property Transactions Now Available by Appointment

Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins announced that his office will be offering additional in-person services for Real Property transactions. The public can schedule an appointment online at https://www.cclerk.hctx.net/Applications/AppointmentBooking. Appointments will be available at 201 Caroline Street, Suite 320, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Monday, October 12.

“We are working hard to continue to expand our online and in-person services,” said Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins. “Due to COVID-19, our office is still closed to the public outside of appointments. We provide essential services to Harris County residents, and we are doing all we can to make sure our clients can access what they need.”

Real Property documents may be filed and recorded with the Harris County Clerk’s Office in person, through e-recording, and by mail. The original documents with original signatures are required for the recording. Once the documents are cashiered, assigned an instrument number, and scanned, the original documents are returned as requested by the client.

The Harris County Clerk’s Office continues to offer other services online including, electronic filing in the courts (county civil and probate) and personal records. Electronic filing for campaign and personal finance is also available online. The Real Property department can be reached at 713-274-8680.

The Harris County Clerk’s Office is open to customers by appointment only. Customers need to wear face covering and continue social distancing when visiting our office.
