Tom Upton, P.E. for Katy Spring & Mfg, Inc.
Katy Spring & Manufacturing, Inc. is pleased to announce Tom Upton has joined its team as its new professional engineer.
Mr. Upton brings with him over 50 years of engineering experience with over 30 years in the spring manufacturing industry. He has worked as a captain with the US Air Force, a downhole equipment design manager with an oilfield equipment company, and president of a spring manufacturing company. Upton holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Professional Engineering Certification from the State of Texas, and owns six patents for oilfield equipment.
In his roles prior to joining Katy Spring, Tom worked on a top-secret government project, was in charge of running an engineering mechanical test lab, and managed the day-to-day functions of two spring manufacturing facilities.

In his free time, Tom Upton enjoys building, maintaining and racing cars, as well as being a model airplane enthusiast.
