Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2 provides fire protection and emergency services through the Willowfork Fire Department, serving the growing Cinco Ranch communities and surrounding areas of Fort Bend County.
The district was formed in 2002 after local voters approved creation of an emergency services district to meet the area’s growing public-safety needs. Willowfork Fire Department began providing service on January 1, 2003 and has continued to expand alongside the communities it protects.
Willowfork provides 24-hour fire and emergency response and also participates in community outreach, public education and risk-reduction efforts. Its mission focuses on preserving life and property through rapid response by trained, caring and professional personnel.
ISO Class 1 Fire Protection
In 2024, Willowfork Fire Department improved to an ISO Class 1 rating, the highest rating in the Insurance Services Office fire-protection classification system. The district operates from multiple Katy-area stations and works with Fort Bend County EMS and neighboring emergency-service agencies to support coordinated response.
