WHY: Harris Health is celebrating its 60th anniversary beginning operations on Jan. 1, 1966. The topping off ceremony of the new hospital on the campus of LBJ Hospital recognizes the milestone completion of the highest point of the building’s structural frame. Additionally, an announcement of the new hospital name will be made by the Harris Health Strategic Fund, an organization focused on philanthropic support for Harris Health’s $3.2 billion strategic facilities plan. For safety considerations, the event is limited to invitation-only as the hospital project remains an active construction site.
