The Mission of Yahweh to Host Inaugural Thrifted Threads With a Purpose: Fashion Show & Luncheon

HOUSTON (October 28, 2024) – The Mission of Yahweh, a faith-based shelter that empowers, enriches, and restores the lives of homeless women and children, will host the Inaugural Thrifted Threads With a Purpose: Fashion Show & Luncheon fundraiser on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, 77024.

The luncheon will kick off with pop-up shopping of fashion favorites from the Mission’s Resale Shop, as well as a silent auction that will include handmade crystal jewelry, a mink coat, designer handbags, men’s fashions from Lucho, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to vie for a chance to win an 18k gold and diamond Cartier ring, exquisite mink jacket, and a Judith Leiber key chain in the raffle drawing with raffle tickets starting at $25 each or five for $100.

Mission Models including donors, employees, and supporters will then take the runway to showcase their distinct styles all garnered from the Mission of Yahweh’s Resale Shop, of which all proceeds from donations and sales at the shop benefit the women, children and programs at the Mission.
