The new center is available to host troop meetings and events, providing a versatile space to support local Girl Scouts.
“We are pleased to announce the opening of our eighth and newest Girl Scout Retail shop, located in Katy, Texas at Katy Mills Mall,” said Ellen Stickney, retail director at GSSJC. “Our newest shop is centrally located and surrounded by several of our highly populated communities. Our shops are here to serve our girls, volunteers and communities throughout our council.”
As one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the nation, GSSJC strives to provide access to activities, apparel, and events to all members. Local shops offer everything a girl needs to start her Girl Scout journey, including uniforms, badges, program materials, and accessories. Shopping local helps support the council and the more than 35,000 girls and 14,000 adult volunteers who are members throughout 26 counties in Southeast Texas.
GSSJC has eight shops located in Houston, Bay area, Beaumont, Cypress/Jersey Village, Imperial Valley, Lufkin, Stafford, and now Katy. Shoppers unable to visit one of the local shops can visit the national online Girl Scout Shop.

We Are Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
