For over a century, Girl Scouts has been at the forefront of empowering girls and eliminating barriers to help them achieve their full potential. Demonstrating its commitment to this mission, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council will host the13th annual Success to Significance luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Nine-time New York Times bestselling author and Girl Scouts alumna Katherine Center is the guest speaker at the organization’s signature fundraiser. Her novel, The Lost Husband, became a No. 1 hit on Netflix, and another upcoming Netflix original, Happiness for Beginners, is in development. Center’s story exemplifies the resilience and determination that Girl Scouts instills in young girls, inspiring them to reach their goals.
New at the event this year is a digital auction. Attendees can bid on exciting items and experiences, including a four-night stay at a luxury North Carolina vacation home, a painting by Pedro Friedeberg, and a SailTime Sunset Cruise and scholarship for sailing school. All contributions support GSSJC programs and help to pave the way for the next generation of girl innovators.
“As we celebrate our 13th annual Success to Significance luncheon, we’re reminded of GSSJC’s incredible impact,” said Mary Vitek, chief executive officer of GSSJC. “The community’s continued support and the money raised from Success to Significance keep our programs affordable and accessible to all girls. We’re honored to host Katherine and share her inspiring story.”
Supporters are invited to join GSSJC at the 13th annual Success to Significance luncheon to celebrate the legacy of Girl Scouts.
