Galveston United Beach and Music Fest Promises a Thrilling Day of Free Family Fun
Galveston United Beach & Music Fest is Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at East Beach in Galveston. Presented by the Galveston Park Board of Trustees, this exciting community event promises a day filled with free family fun, sensational music performances, and a wide range of engaging activities for all ages. Entrance to R.A. Apffel Beach Park (East Beach) is $15 per vehicle.
The festival’s main attraction will be a special performance by the renowned artist behind the timeless dance anthem, “Cupid Shuffle” – none other than CUPID. In addition to the musical extravaganza, the Galveston United Beach & Music Fest offers a diverse range of family-friendly games and activities to keep everyone entertained. Guests can participate in free sandcastle building lessons, glitter tattoos, beach in a bottle, a Cornhole Tournament, a bubble station in collaboration with Moody Early Childhood Center, and much more.
“This event is the first of its kind in Galveston,” said Kimberly Danesi, interim CEO of the Park Board and immediate past president for the board of Trustees for United Way of Galveston. “We invite families to make a weekend trip of this day-long, free beach bash.”
The festival’s entertainment lineup features an exciting roster of talented artists who will take the stage throughout the day. Attendees can enjoy performances by Galveston Heritage Chorale, Galvezton, The Line Up, Citywide Funk, Matthew Hartnett & the Gumbo Allstars, Dem Roots Music, The Keeshea Pratt Band, and the headlining act, CUPID, to conclude the event.
“This event promises a day of fun and entertainment,” said Lindsey White, Executive Director of United Way Galveston. “Tournament entry funds as well as 10% of concession purchases support United Way’s ongoing efforts to make a positive impact to the lives of those in need.”
