U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is co-sponsoring legislation to authorize the construction of the coastal barrier protection system, which would mitigate the impact of major hurricanes and other significant water events in and around the Texas coast—and the vast petrochemical industry that surrounds it. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) introduced the Senate companion to U.S. Rep. Randy Weber’s (R-Texas) legislation.
About the bills Senator Cruz said:
