Congratulations to Katy Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Katy, Class of 2022.
Participants are selected each year from a wide spectrum of the area’s population. The rigorous program runs from August to May. It ended earlier this month on May 13 with a graduation ceremony in Galveston. The 24 graduates spent 10 months studying community engagement and the qualities that make an effective leader.
The leadership forum begins with a one-and-half day retreat at Stoney Creek Ranch, followed by monthly one-day sessions covering municipal government, economic development and business, healthcare, education and cultural awareness. It includes a two-day trip to Austin for a state government session, and a three-day national government session in Washington D.C.
