Sophoan Yem, along with his neighbor and now business partner, Henry Gaitan opened their first Detail Garage in Rosenberg, TX. Now, the pair has expanded their portfolio with the opening of their second location in Katy, TX
Detail Garage, the country’s go-to retail car care store for passionate car owners and detailing professionals, has been in an aggressive expansion lately as they have opened 75 locations in five years with plans to open 30 more before the end of 2022.
Sophoan Yem and Henry Gaitan met as neighbors in Texas, grew into friends and are now business partners who opened their first Detail Garage location in Rosenberg, Texas in November 2020. Now, the partners have opened their second location in Katy.
Yem’s family moved to the U.S. from Cambodia when he was just three years old to pursue a better life and escape the Vietnam war when Southeast Asia was in turmoil. Now, Yem lives in Sugar Land, TX with his family and is living the American dream with his business partner, Gaitan. They two have extensive backgrounds as car enthusiasts and manufacturing engineers where they were already using products from Detail Garage so the brand was a perfect fit for the neighbors.
Yem and Gaitan are excited to continue their growth, with a brand they believe so deeply in, throughout the state of Texas. Their second location in Katy opened on March 26th at 829 S Mason Rd, STE 260, Katy, TX and the pair has plans to expand to Cypress, TX by the end of the year.
