Mental health has been on everyone’s mind lately. Those suffering from depression, anxiety, insomnia, and more are especially looking for help to solve their problems.
We spoke to Dov Katz- the CEO and co-founder of 2130 Labs on the matter to get his point of view.
The startup company 2130 Labs – a progressive mental wellness company that takes care of people’s mental health with the help of herbal medicine-based therapy (incorporating cannabis) and by using the devoted hardware and developed AI algorithms to personalize the treatment for each person.

What does the future look like for your company? What products do you offer?
2130 Labs is dedicated to developing medical equipment in order to work with natural extracts. A device of ours is in the process of development that seems like an inkjet printer. The device is effective to combine a group of packages of natural material in order to prepare a customized treatment for each person. The device gives feedback after each use and our AI regulates the treatment for the next time in order to ensure the accurate match-up for each one. It does quite a similar job to Spotify in music, but here the field is mental wellness. We expect to assist people who are suffering from depression, anxiety, energy, overweight, concentration, sleep problems, etc.
We mainly focus on preparing a product that is a combination of software and material. As our goal is to find out the most suitable treatment for every patient, we focus to solve the complicated problem of coordinating between mental state or genetics and natural materials by using AI and data.
What sets your company apart from your competitors?
The natural medicine market, which is a market worth billions of dollars a year, has good intentions but very little science and almost no technology. We want to make the change by focusing on just that lack. We believe that a lot of data, good algorithms, and a hardware product that is at the center of it will allow us to lead the market and dictate a new and better direction for all parties concerned.
What problems does your product solve?
In our field, the main problem is the absence of precision and customization. This is due to the complexity of preparing an exact dose of medication and the requirement for understanding the complicated human problem, system, and chemistry. We can solve this problem by using data, hardware, and AI.
When was your company established?
The company was established over a year ago. We now have about 10 employees.
Is your company suitable for the Israeli market?
At first, we are aiming to sell in North America. In any case, the Israeli market is small. But in terms of employees, Israel is a great place for this kind of company because there are a lot of people with the relevant skills.
