Keep Texas Beautiful is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Arce, Jr. of AEP Texas as Board President and welcomes Jeri Harwell, with Republic Services, and Richard McDonald, with H-E-B Grocery LP., to the board.
“Our Board of Directors includes dedicated community leaders who are committed to KTB’s vision to make Texas the best place to live, work, and play,” said Suzanne Kho, Executive Director of Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB). “We are excited for Tony to lead the board and we are looking forward to Jeri and Richard’s contributions to our work through their talent and expertise.
Upon joining the board, Tony Arce Jr. said, “It is an honor to serve as the Board President for KTB. I look forward to working with the board and KTB staff to ensure that our programs make a positive impact in beautifying our communities and roadways.”
Tony Arce, Jr. serves as Manager of External Affairs at AEP Texas in Laredo, where he has been employed for over 30 years. He was first nominated to the KTB Board of Directors in 2017.
Jeri Harwell joined Republic Services in 2007 as the Municipal Services Manager. She previously served as President of Metroport Meals on Wheels in Roanoke, the Immediate Past President of the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce, and is the incoming chair of the H-E-B Chamber of Commerce in Bedford.
Richard McDonald, Corporate Director of Environmental Affairs & Sustainability at H-E-B Grocery LP., directs all environmental activities and requirements for operation in Texas and Mexico for the largest privately held company in Texas. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Executive Director at Granite Construction Inc.; Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Real Estate, and Facilities at Estes Incorporated; Corporate Manager Environmental, Health & Safety at Southwest Airlines; and Safety Environmental, Security Officer at American Airlines.
