If you are a guitarist, it’s important to get a good EQ pedal. This will allow you to make subtle changes to your tone. You will also be able to change the frequencies that you are using. This will ensure that the guitar stands out when performing in a band.
Setting up an EQ Pedal
It’s important to make sure that you’re getting the EQ pedal set-up properly. Where you put it in the chain will determine how it impacts the sound your guitar makes. If you put it before the distortion, it will completely alter the primary tone. On the other hand, if you place it after the distortion it will modify the sound of the overdrive. This is better for making fine tweaks.
Where you choose to place the EQ pedal is up to you. It might help to try it in a few different locations. This will let you experiment with a range of sounds and find what works for you.
