On the volleyball courts: The Lady Tigers and Lady Spartans of Katy High School and Seven Lakes High School respectively, advance to the quarterfinals in the 2016 UIL State Volleyball Championships. In Bi-district competition Taylor lost to Austin 3-2, Seven Lakes beat Travis 3-0, Katy took care of Dulles 3-2 and Cinco Ranch lost to Ridge Point 3-0.
