On Aug. 15, Katy Area Retired Educators (KARE) held its annual Hooky Day to kick off the new school year. Over 100 retired KARE members were in attendance to celebrate“Preserving the Past, Securing the Future” and to welcome new retirees. KARE’s next meeting will be held on Sept. 19, with guest speaker Channel 2 Chief Meteorologist Frank Billingsley.
