The Maud Marks Library hosts two book clubs that meet monthly. Booked this Afternoon meets on the second Thursday of the month, October 10th, at 2 PM. We will be discussing 2019 Gulf Coast Reads selection The Library Book by Susan Orlean. The Just Desserts Mystery Book Club meets the third Wednesday of the month, October 16th, at 2 PM. We will be discussing The American Agent by Jacqueline Winspear. You are encouraged to bring your favorite dessert to eat while we discuss whether our villains get their just desserts.
Want to join a book club but can’t make it to the library? We have another one starting in the community. Join us at the Bagel Café (631 S Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450) for our newest book club, Book Club Café. On the second Monday, October 14 at 11 AM, join us for bagels, coffee, and books as we discuss The Mothers by Brit Bennett. We will also have copies of our October selection available at that time.
If you are interested in joining any discussion group, extra copies of the books are available at the library. There are no dues, and new members are welcome!
