TEEN IMPROV & MORE

Aug 5, 2019

In August, the Cinco Ranch Branch Library will present the following programs for the Young Adult community.

YA Coding Craft – Monday, August 5, 2:00-3:00 pm, Meeting Room. In this YA craft program, teens entering grades 9-12 will make a binary key chain or bracelet. Materials for this program are provided through the generous support of the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.

YA Improv Fun at the Library for Teens – Monday, August 12, 4:00-5:00 pm, Meeting Room. Share the laughter while inventing characters and creating scenes in a game of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. Based on the improvisational TV game show where players act out various comic games and sketches, this event will be tons of fun! Registration required.

Young Adult Book Club – Wednesday, August 14, 4:00-5:00 pm, Conference Room. Teen readers in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to meet with others who share the same love for great books, and have a lively discussion on the reasons a book or its characters were liked or disliked. Those attending the book-club meeting in August are invited to talk about Not Now, Not Ever, written by Lily Anderson.

These programs are free and open to the public. For more information or to register for the Improv event, see the Fort Bend County Libraries website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), or call the Cinco Ranch Branch Library (281-395-1311).

The Cinco Ranch Branch Library is located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.
