The School-Age Programs

Jul 17, 2019

Crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children entering grades 1 through 5 ONLY -- begin at 2:00 and 3:00 pm every Wednesday during the summer. Seating is limited; free hand-stamps are required for admission, and are available one hour before the activity. These programs are made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.

July 10-- Motion Commotion (presented by Houston Museum of Natural Science). Find out how levers work, learn why every action has a reaction, and watch the relationship between mass and inertia as you discover the science behind motion in all its forms. Explore momentum, friction, and collisions in a unique demonstration of glider carts on an air track, showing how movement is affected by changing conditions.

July 17 – Maker Space. Enjoy a make-and-take craft during the summer break.

July 24 – Cartoons & Popcorn.
