Fort Bend County Law Library Demonstrates Lexis Advance Resource For Legal Professionals

The Fort Bend County Law Library will host a demonstration of the Lexis Advance Database on Wednesdays, September 9 and 23, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. These classes will be virtual sessions live-streamed via Zoom/WebEx; they will NOT be in person.

Presented by a representative from Lexis Nexis, the demonstration will provide in-depth instruction on using the database for legal research, including case law, statute, and form searching.

The trainings will consist of the following topics:

  • September 9– “The Contemporary Yellow Pages: Ethics of Online Profiles”
  • September 23– “Advertising and Steps to Avoid Malpractice”

Available at the Law Library, Lexis Advance is a simple-to-use, powerful resource for online legal research. Visit the library for access to State and Federal case law, statutes, codes, regulations, forms, and secondary material.

Approved for 1.0 hour of continuing legal education (CLE) credit each, the trainings are free and open to the public.
