Senior Games and Independence Day Covered Dish Luncheon

Friday, July 1, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Come join us for ‘42’ dominoes, canasta, bridge, Mexican Train dominoes, or pick a board game. In celebration of Independence Day, hot dogs and apple pie will be provided for lunch. Bring your favorite sides and desserts to share and make for a great holiday meal.

All are welcome at this program designed especially for school-aged children. Meet some animal ambassadors from TWRC Wildlife Center and learn about the benefits of coexisting with our wild neighbors, their roles in the urban ecosystem, and how to help wildlife in need. Discovery Days: Skins and Skulls with Texas Wildlife Association

Wednesday, July 13, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. or 2 – 3 p.m.

All are welcome at this program designed especially for school-aged children. Did you know you can learn about an animal’s habitat, food sources, and tools for survival just by looking at its skull and fur? The Texas Wildlife Association will show you how to use these items to identify characteristics of native Texas animals. Registration is required, and space is limited.
