Have Fun With These Activities That You Can Play With Your Friends

Are you wanting to have a few people around for a bit of fun, but aren’t sure what to do to keep the night going? Party games are a great way to break the ice and bring people together, especially after a long time apart. So for your next games night, take a look below at these activities that vary from card games to apps. They’ll be a hit.

Actually Curious Card Game: Happy Hour Edition

This is just the thing to ease you and your friends into social mode. This game is quite the conversation starter – literally. This is a tame one but can get quite deep as it includes questions that explore one’s dreams, ambitions and even delves into cherished memories with friends, family, and loved ones.

Trivia Questions

Trivia is always a hit. You just need to find the right sort of trivia questions for the group. So how do you do that? Have rounds that focus on things that people in the group are specifically interested in, that way involving everyone and giving their time to shine. You can have several rounds of just 5 questions per round and definitely be sure to add some music trivia quiz questions in there. Those are always a hit. You could even shape an entire quiz around music from different eras, where people need to finish the lyrics, guess the song, band, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Truth or Drink

We won’t hold it against you if you haven’t heard of this game before, but it’s one that will tickle you pink and have everyone in tears of laughter. If you’ve watched The Cut’s YouTube channel, you’ll know what this is. If you haven’t it’s a drinking game and it’s hilarious. The rules are simple: Either you answer the question on the card or you take a drink. Non-alcoholic drinks are 100% allowed, so everyone can join. You can even spice things up by taking a shot of something yucky. This game comes with five different decks, based on the type of company you have over, making it perfect for all sorts of social occasions.

Game of Phones

This is a great one for those who love being on their phones. The premise of this game is quite simple. Everyone grabs their phones and one player picks a card. The rest of the players have 60 seconds to respond to the card in the best way they can. The idea is for it to be weird and funny. The one player who picked the card then judges and declares who they think is the winner.

Catch Phrase

A classic, but a goodie. This is an electronic game that involves everyone splitting up into two teams. Your teammates will then try to guess the word on the screen by describing it. You keep guessing until the buzzer goes off and if your team is left guessing, the opposing team is awarded a point.

What Do You Meme?

Keep the kids away! This one gets hilariously inappropriate real fast. Each player is dealt a starting set of caption cards. A photo card is then placed down and each player chooses a caption for the photo, creating your own meme. A judge then chooses the funniest “meme” and that player gets a point.

Who Am I?

Another classic, but really easy DIY game. This requires minimal prep, so you can be ready to play in minutes. On a piece of paper write down the name of someone or something. Everyone sticks it to their forehead and each person gets 20 “yes or no” questions to find out who they are.

Telephone Pictionary

This is another DIY game but is probably for a younger group. Everyone sits in a circle and gets a notepad and something to write with. Players must then write down a funny phrase, the name of someone notable, or anything really on the second sheet of their notepad. They must then close it and pass it on to the next person. This person can look at the prompt and must draw it on the third page as best they can. Without closing it, the notepad is then passed to the next person, who must guess what the prompt is based on the picture.

Keep passing and drawing until you have your original pad in front of you again and then flip through the pages in front of the group for mega laughs as your phrase gets distorted, and broken down, just like a game of broken telephone.

Well, there you have it. Here are just a few activities that you can play with friends for an absolute howler of an evening.
