Katy ISD Seeks Parent Volunteers for Instructional Material Selection

Katy Independent School District is seeking volunteers to review and select instructional materials.

The Katy Independent School District seeking parent volunteers to review and select instructional materials for secondary courses in African-American Studies, Mexican-American Studies, and Automotive Basics.

Virtual meetings, in keeping with coronavirus social distancing guidelines, are as follows:

  • Mexican American Studies (January 20 and February 3, both at 2:45 p.m.)
  • African American Studies (January 21 and February 4, 2021, both at 2:45 p.m.)
  • Automotive Basics (Early February, dates and times to be determined)

The district expects to use approved materials for classes in the 2021-22 school year.      

Parents interested in volunteering are asked to complete the instructional materials review committee form at https://tinyurl.com/y3mg3ovy. Deadline for applications is Monday.
