The Katy Independent School District seeking parent volunteers to review and select instructional materials for secondary courses in African-American Studies, Mexican-American Studies, and Automotive Basics.
Virtual meetings, in keeping with coronavirus social distancing guidelines, are as follows:
- Mexican American Studies (January 20 and February 3, both at 2:45 p.m.)
- African American Studies (January 21 and February 4, 2021, both at 2:45 p.m.)
- Automotive Basics (Early February, dates and times to be determined)
The district expects to use approved materials for classes in the 2021-22 school year.
Parents interested in volunteering are asked to complete the instructional materials review committee form at https://tinyurl.com/y3mg3ovy. Deadline for applications is Monday.
