Eight Katy ISD Junior Highs in the Niche Top 25 Middle School Rankings in the Greater Houston-Area  

KATY [November 5, 2019] –  Katy Independent School District continues to dominate Niche’s list of the best Houston-area public schools.  Just recently Niche, an independent research and analysis firm, named Katy ISD as the number one school district in the greater Houston area, as well as ranked 19 of the District’s elementary campuses in its list of top 25 elementary schools.  Now, the organization has also ranked 8 Katy ISD junior highs within the top 25 spots in its annual list of “2020 Best Public Middle Schools in the Houston area.”  This is up from last year, which had 7 Katy ISD junior highs on the list.

Each year, Niche (an independent research and data analysis organization) assesses school districts from across the country.  The rankings are based on rigorous analysis of key statistics, reviews from students and parents, as well as data from the U.S. Department of Education.  Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.
