(Fulshear, TX – Oct 8, 2019)— Cross Creek Ranch will host artisans and artists from Houston’s longest-running outdoor market for a celebration of art and architecture during an Art Market & Home Tour, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Artists from the First Saturday Arts Market and Market at Sawyer Yards will display their work at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane.
Art enthusiasts can browse paintings, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry and other handcrafted items while enjoying music and cuisine from Houston area food trucks. Twenty-two professionally decorated model homes will be open for touring. Admission is free.
“We are pleased to be showcasing local artists from two of Houston’s best art markets,” said Rob Bamford, general manager of Cross Creek Ranch. “We encourage everyone to come out to support them. We also encourage people to tour our builder’s beautiful model homes as we believe they are also works of art.”
The First Saturday Arts Market, located in The Heights, was founded in 2004 by Mitchell Cohen to provide an outlet for area artists to showcase their work on a monthly basis in an art festival atmosphere. The Market at Sawyer Yards opened in 2016 as a more eclectic event featuring folk art, artisan crafts and food.
Cross Creek Ranch has periodically hosted artists from the markets since 2010.
Eleven builders offer homes in Cross Creek Ranch including Avanti Custom Homes, Chesmar Homes, Darling Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, Newmark Homes, Partners in Building, Trendmaker Homes, Taylor Morrison and Village Builders. Homes are priced from the $200,000s to more than $ 1 million.
