Learn About Navigating Property Taxes At George Memorial Library Program

Fort Bend County Libraries, in conjunction with the Fort Bend County Tax Office, will present an informational program on “Navigating Your Property Taxes 101” on Saturday, October 19, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, in the Meeting Room at George Memorial Library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

Wise will talk about the appraisal process and how to protest property values, and Surratt will explain how tax rates are set.

Gain a better understanding of tax statements, property-tax exemptions, and deferrals. They will also discuss the process for taxpayers over the age of 65.
