Funds to benefit local charity, The Ballard House.
KATY, Texas (August 21, 2019) – Katy’s largest and most established wine and culinary festival is hosting the 18th edition this fall. Katy Sip N Stroll is one of the most celebrated events in Katy and continues to pour for a purpose.
Katy Sip N Stroll, presented by Kroger, will take place on Saturday, November 2nd at Villagio Town Center in the heart of Cinco Ranch. The signature bi-annual event has served up fun for two consecutive sold-out crowds and is expecting 2,500+ Katy locals again this fall. An all-inclusive ticket offers guests an evening enjoying and discovering culinary creations from 35+ restaurants and food tasting stations, 200+ wine selections, an extensive craft beer garden and three live music stages. Sip N Stroll benefits The Ballard House, a 40 guest-suite hospitality house which offers no-cost housing for patients with their families who are receiving treatment for a life-threatening illness. Funds that are raised from Sip N Stroll ticket sales, sponsorships, silent and big board auctions and wine pull are funneled directly into operations for The Ballard House. To date, over $292,000 has been raised for The Ballard House through Sip N Stroll efforts providing a whopping 10,800 free room nights. And this fall brings a new and exciting fundraising element, a live Bachelor Auction featuring some of Katy’s finest eligible men with amazing date experiences.
Highlights of this fall’s event include Bubbles @ Villagio presented by Celebrity Cruises, featuring sparkling wines and effervescent displays; The Beer Club with VIP premium craft beer selections for serious enthusiasts; “Hope Matters” paint-along art board by The Rustic Brush; culinary serving stations from 35+ participating restaurants; Sweet Street for those with a sweet tooth; roving entertainment and pop-up surprises. For those with discerning palates who want the VIP touch, the Amerant Bank VIP Zone offers comfy seating, premium food and wine offerings, a swag bag and great people watching. Three live music stages feature The Robert Hartye Band on The Aruba Tourism Stage in the Keller Williams Courtyard, Kristen Hart on the Backstreet Stage and Gabe Montoya on the Cane Island Stage.
There’s never a dull moment. Even before guests enter, they enjoy a live magician with John Dahlinger of See Magic Live, and performers from The Houston Show Choir provided by First Impressions sponsor ABC Home & Commercial Services.

To date, Katy Sip N Stroll has raised more than $292,000 to support The Ballard House, which has provided nearly 13,000 nights of free lodging for patients and their families. The charity, since its inception, had offered more than 45,000 nights of no cost lodging and house more than 8,700 people.
A 501c3 organization, Cinco Charities® Inc. was founded in 2006 by a group of Keller Williams Premier Realty agents and has provided “a home away from home” for thousands of patients and their caregivers since its inception. The organization has continuously extended their commitment to those in need by providing no-cost housing at the Ballard House, meeting the growing needs of patients coming to the Katy/West Houston Medical Center, Sugar Land and Texas Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening illnesses. The patients and their families have traveled to Katy from throughout Texas, across the nation and from around the globe. Although they come from as far away as Poland and Canada for their treatments, The Ballard House is truly “home” to those in need. Dr. Gregory Chronowski, Associate Professor of Radiology Oncology at MD Anderson’s Katy Cancer Center said that “if it were not for Ballard House, a number of my patients would not have been able financially to come for cancer treatment and probably would not have lived.”
The Katy Sip N Stroll, presented by Kroger, is one of Cinco Charities’ major fundraising events to support the operating costs of The Ballard House. Enthusiastic participation in the auction provides proceeds to directly benefit The Ballard House mission, and is greatly appreciated by attendees.
