Learn About Fall Vegetable Gardening At Library Program

Fort Bend County Libraries will present a program on “Fall Vegetable Gardening,” on Monday, September 16, beginning at 6:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Fort Bend County Master Gardener Ralph Fuller will provide an overview of fall vegetable gardening. Fuller will talk about recommended vegetable varieties for this area and how to build and maintain a garden. Anyone interested in learning more about how to become a backyard gardener is encouraged to attend.

Fuller has been a Master Gardener since 2013 and is also certified as a Vegetable Specialist. He has developed a flip-card reference tool for the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners called “Field Guide to Vegetable Garden Pests.”

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, see the Fort Bend County Libraries website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), or call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library (281-633-4675) or the library system’s Communications Office (281-633-4734).
