Would you like to keep in touch and share pictures with family and friends on Facebook? Fort Bend County Libraries will present an introductory program for people who would like to learn more about this popular social-networking website, “Facebook for Beginners,” on Thursday, September 12, from 10:15 to 11:30 am, in the Computer Lab at the Cinco Ranch Branch Library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.
The Adult Services staff of the library will show how to set up a Facebook account, search for friends, make “friend requests,” and write wall posts. Those attending this class should have a basic working knowledge of computers, and must have a personal email account already set up before the class.
The class is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Events,” select “Cinco Ranch Branch Library,” and find the program.
