PASADENA – The San Jacinto College District was awarded a $12,000,000 federal grant to advance public-private apprenticeship partnerships in information technology, U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced today. The funding comes from the Department of Labor, and more information can be found here.
“Hands-on learning experiences for college students help them learn critical skills and make meaningful contributions to the local workforce,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I applaud area leaders for their work to obtain this grant, and I’m grateful to the Trump Administration for supporting the students of the San Jacinto College District.”
Senator John Cornyn, a Republican from Texas, is a member of the Senate Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary Committees.
