Students who would like to have more information on area colleges are invited to attend a College Fair at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library on Monday, June 17, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.
Representatives from colleges and universities will be on hand to share information about their programs with current high school students and their parents or guardians. Students will have the opportunity to learn about educational opportunities available at the colleges, as well as admission requirements, financial aid, student housing, and more.
Schools from Texas that will be represented include: Art Institute of Houston, Baylor University, Houston Community College, Lamar University, Lone Star College – CyFair, Prairie View A&M University, Rice University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas State University, Texas Woman’s University, University of Houston (main), University of Houston – Clear Lake, University of Houston – Downtown, University of Houston – Victoria, University of North Texas, University of St. Thomas, University of Texas – Dallas, and University of Texas – San Antonio.
Colleges from outside of Texas that will be represented include: Kansas State University, Missouri University of Science & Technology, University of Alabama, University of Alabama – Birmingham, University of Denver, University of Louisiana – Monroe, University of Mississippi, University of Oklahoma, University of Tampa, and University of Tennessee.
Students may attend the following presentation in the Multipurpose Room:
- “Admissions 101: How to Apply” – 12:30-1:00 pm
