In advance of Memorial Day, American Legion Post 164 and its Auxiliary will distribute remembrance poppies at four locations in the Katy area on Saturday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cloth poppies will be available at Snappy’s (5803 Hwy. Blvd.), Katy Hardware (559 Pin Oak), Cinco Ranch Ace Hardware (1720 S. Mason), and Lowe’s (I-10 and Fry). Poppies have been an official symbol of remembrance for the American Legion for almost 100 years.
