Experience the Roaring 20s at the Historic Sugar Land Auditorium with Chicago: High School Edition, Opening This Friday

SUGAR LAND, Texas (May13, 2019) – Inspiration Stage presents Chicago: High School Edition, featuring a cast of teen actors, May 17 – 19.

In Chicago during the Roaring 20s, Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap…until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the American dream of fame, fortune, and acquittal.

Playing one of the other Merry Murderesses, Ashley Johnson, 15, a Greatwood resident and freshman at George Ranch High School, says, “I am excited to be part of such a talented cast and to challenge myself as a performer with this award-winning show. Inspiration Stage has helped me pursue my passion of musical theatre and I am so thankful!”

Chicago: High School Edition is content-appropriate and has been adapted to remove overtly sexual references and adult language. The production is recommended for audiences ages 12 and up.
