Graves presents $100,000 to Norris’ Organization

HOUSTON (May 8, 2019) – The Kickstart Kids Organizationfounded by the legendary Chuck Norris, received a substantial kick from Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers as Founder & CEO Todd Graves presented a $100,000 check to Norris.

As a longtime admirer of Norris and in keeping with the Raising Cane’s philosophy on active community involvement, Graves presented the donation to Norris for Kickstart Kids Organization. Founded in 1990 by Norris with the help of President George H.W. Bush, Kickstart Kids is an award-winning in-school character development program that uses karate to teach life-changing values to middle school and high school students. Since its founding, more than 100,000 children have enrolled in the program and benefited from its curriculum.

“Wow! What a genuine show of support from Todd and Cane’s,” said Norris during the presentation, which took place at Raising Cane’s in Houston earlier today. “I am so appreciative because this going to make a huge difference in a whole lot of great kids’ lives.”

“I’m a longtime Chuck Norris fan and there are not many people who have so much success in so many areas of life. With all his success, I admire his commitment to the philanthropy and especially to Kickstart Kids,” Graves said. “Kickstart Kids empowers youth with core values, such as discipline and respect, to achieve their greatest potential. In keeping with our philosophy of active community involvement and to show our appreciation for the support that Raising Cane’s has received from Caniacs across Houston, we are honored to support this life-changing program.”

While at Raising Cane’s, Norris even posed in the drive thru and had some fun at the event. Following the check presentation, Graves was Norris’s guest at the Kickstart Kid’s Belt Ceremony at a nearby high school which serves as a graduation for program participants. During the ceremony, Norris presented Graves with a custom Karate gi, the tradition uniform used in practice and competition.
