American Legion Post 164 in Katy and its Auxiliary will collect old flags on Saturday, May 18, at four locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locations are Snappy’s (5803 Hwy. Blvd.), Katy Hardware (559 Pin Oak), Lowe’s (I-10 and Fry), and Cinco Ranch Ace Hardware (1720 S. Mason). The flags will be retired at an evening ceremony on June 14 behind the Elks Lodge on Katy-Fort Bend Road.
