Today is Last Day for Early Voting

Today is the last day for early voting in the Katy city election and Katy Independent School District trustee election.

City Election

Voters will decide the mayor’s race between incumbent Chuck Brawner and former police chief Bill Hastings.

Ward B voters will decide between banking executive Jenifer Jordan Stockdick and former council member Steve Pierson. Incumbent Jimmy Mendez cannot seek reelection due to term limits.

Ward A Council Member Frank Carroll is unopposed in his election bid.

Voters will select two new trustees. Position 1 incumbent George Scott chose not to seek reelection, and three candidates are seeking that particular seat. One of them is Position 2 incumbent Rebecca Fox, who filed to seek the Position 1 seat at the filing deadline. Attorney Duke Keller and internet marketing company owner and Katy ISD critic Sean Dolan are also challenging for the seat.

Lance Redmon, who is in construction material sales, is unopposed in his bid for the Position 2 seat.
