Houston is a Tough Old Bird

The HPRA Friday lunch speaker this week will be Robert Gilmer, Ph.D., the director of the University of Houston Bauer Institute for Regional Forecasting, which monitors the regional economy. Dr. Gilmer has studied the impact of eight “severe weather events” (Rita, Ike, Harvey, etc.) and finds the Houston economy to be “remarkably resilient”.
