George H.W. Bush remembered with a ‘Silly Sock Salute’ by Houston students

President George H.W. Bush was known and beloved as much for his remarkable spirit as his many years of public service. One of his better-known quirks was his love of vibrant (and often silly) socks.

This Wednesday, students and staff at  Harmony School of Discovery in Houston will pay tribute to the late president, who called their city home for decades, with a “Silly Sock Salute & Bubble Release.”

Students around the campus will wear their favorite silly socks as they come together at 10:45 a.m. for a bubble release in President Bush’s honor.
