Living Word would like to invite the community to join them this Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ. A Pre-Christmas Vespers service will be held on December 21 at 7 pm for families that will not be in town for Christmas Eve. The service will include familiar Christmas hymns, readings, communion and special music of the season in a live-unplugged setting. The service will conclude with a candle lighting.
On Christmas Eve at 1 pm, there will be a Jazz Christmas Eve afternoon vespers. The service will feature a jazz sextet playing unique arrangements for the season, congregational Christmas carols and a special Christmas jazz communion. A festive candle lit atmosphere will prepare one and all for this joyous season! At 3 pm, children ages 2 years through 3rd grade (and their families) are invited to a Family Christmas Eve worship service. This interactive service will allow children to “live” the story of Christmas. A Contemporary Christmas Eve worship service featuring contemporary music will be held at 5 pm. Candlelight Christmas Eve worship services featuring traditional music, the choir, bell choir and a brass ensemble will be held at 7 and 11 pm.
